About the Artist
LULU J COLLECTIONS is the studio of Lulu J — a young Western Australian artist whose work is drawn, again and again, back to the ocean.
Raised on the Western Australian coast, Lulu J finds her subject in the natural world: observing, absorbing, then translating what she finds into works that carry the character and quiet energy of their source. The sea is her constant muse — its light, its movement, its endless shifts of colour and mood. You can feel it in every piece: the freedom of open water, the pull of the tide, the calm and the wildness held together at once.
Her practice balances refined detail with considered composition, creating pieces with real depth and presence — works that hold their own in any space and only grow on you the longer you live with them.
There's a free-spirited energy to the way Lulu J creates. She paints instinctively and fearlessly, following colour and feeling rather than rules, and that openness is exactly what gives her work its life. Each original is large, hand-painted and one of a kind — and for select works, Lulu also releases a small run of signed, numbered limited-edition prints, so more people can live with the art they love.
As one of Western Australia's exciting emerging artists, Lulu J is building a body of work that collectors are noticing now — and these are the early pieces. To bring one home is to own an original at the very start of something.
Two ways to own a Lulu J
The original. A one-of-a-kind, hand-painted work — the single, original piece, with all the texture, brushwork and small variations that make it impossible to repeat. There is only ever one, and when it's gone, it's gone.
Limited-edition prints. For select works, Lulu releases a small, numbered run of fine-art prints, each one signed and numbered by her own hand. Once an edition sells out, it closes for good — so even the prints are collectible and finite.
Because these are significant pieces, we want you to choose with complete confidence. You're always welcome to speak with Lulu directly before you buy — to talk through dimensions, scale, colour and how a piece might sit in your space.
